Wilton-Wing’s Lauren Koski smacked two in-the-park home runs, one after the other, Monday night to give notice to the Central McLean Cougars that the home-field advantage was not going to be a factor in the game.

The visiting Miners topped Central McLean 17-10 in Class B girls softball action.

The Miners were slugging the ball well on their own, and it didn’t help the Cougars’ cause as they struggled from the hill, walking five batters in the first inning and three in the second.

"That’s just too many walks," commented Central McLean Coach Kyle Hunt. "That’s the big thing. Too many free bases."
