Post 12 looking good for sectionals

By Michael Johnson, Editor

If everything would go as planned there would be nothing to stop the guys of Post 12 from winning it all in Legion baseball this summer. But as has been the trend, plans don’t always work out. The team was supposed to play Mott-Regent on Saturday but the opposing team didn’t have enough players. The games would have been worth double for Post 12 but instead they got nothing. They were supposed to play Beach for double the points next. A storm put a stop to that and they couldn’t make up the game on Sunday because they had to have their games in by Saturday. That cost Post 12 another possible four points. If they had played and done well, as they have been doing this season, they would have had a three-way tie for first, second and third place. The team’s coach, Kip Erickson, said all they can do is their best. “We’ll just go play at the tournament and hopefully we come out with a win,” Erickson said.
