Post 12 shuts out Dickinson

Washburn Legion Post 12 took a runaway victory last week when they went up against the Dickinson Volunteers team.
Post 12 brought a strong offense and defense with them when they faced Dickinson June 1, racking up 12 unanswered runs against the visiting team. Trevor Schreiner would forfeit only three hits to the opponent during the game, but not a single run. In the meantime, Post 12 would take 12 runs off of seven hits, and give Washburn a 12-0 victory.
Garrett Mosbrucker would go two for two at bat, with two runs during the game. Nolan Teigen and Reed Backman would each go one for one, with a pair of runs each, and Kolby Yantzer would also go one hit for one at bat. Brandon Jenkins and Trevor Schreiner would hit one for two during the game, with Schreiner taking two runs himself.
The team would also take the second game, with 12 runs over Dickinson’s two. Cam Hall would be the winning pitcher for the game, only letting six hits go to the opponent. Schreiner would go two for two, Jenkins three for four, Hunter Oberlander two for three, Teigen one for two and Karson Backer and Eric Horner both two for four.
