Roughriders bring home Megabowl trophy

The Garrison-Max Troopers welcomed the Southern McLean Roughriders to Garrison on Friday. The Roughriders began the game with a kickoff from senior Garrett Pfleiger for 50 yards. Garrison-Max advanced the ball 25 yards before freshman Carter Knutson ended the long run. The Troopers struggled to make progress down the field, and punted. The Roughriders followed in the Troopers’ footsteps and made little ground before punting.
After another failed attempt at advancing, the Troopers once again punted. Senior Hunter Klindtworth made an impressive 17 yard run, followed by a pass from senior Caden Germundson to fellow senior Karter Hansen for another 11 yards. Junior Alex Frederick finished the play with a 13 yard run for the touchdown. Germundson’s point after pass to Hansen was good, beginning the game with a score of 0-8 Roughriders.
