Roughriders corral Bison
Heading into Friday night’s game against the Hazen Bison, the Southern McLean Roughriders were looking to see how they would stack up against a program that is traditionally one of the upper echelon small school programs in the state. With rain before the game making the turf slick, the Roughriders were looking to see if they could stick with the Bison in a grind-it-out kind of contest.
Southern McLean would receive the opening kickoff, and the offense, showing a stout mixture of run and pass would march the ball steadily down the field, until, unfortunately the drive would finally stall out right around midfield.
