Roughriders roll past Hazen
The Southern McLean Roughriders continued their strong start to the football season Friday, Aug. 28, earning a convincing 38-8 road victory over the Hazen Bison.
The Roughriders controlled the Week Two contest on both sides of the football, scoring 38 points while limiting Hazen to a single touchdown. The 30-point victory moved Southern McLean to 2-0 and provided another encouraging performance early in the season.
Southern McLean Head Coach Beau Eriksson was pleased with the energy his team brought to the field and its ability to carry out the coaching staff ’s plan.
“I thought our players played with great eff ort all night long,” Eriksson said.
“We did a great job of being able to execute the game plan, especially defensively.
There are areas of improvement after watching the film, but I was really happy with the players’ performances and how we got better over the week.”
