Saddle Up brings riders from all over
“It’s just a wonderful thing,” Saddle Up Against Cancer Organizer Clarissa Godsack said. Riders from Almont, Carrington, Bismarck, Washburn and Wilton participated in the trail ride near New Johns Lake near Wilton. “The furthest one we’ve ever had was Chicago (come for the ride),” Godsack said. And they couldn’t have picked a better day for it. Saturday morning was cool with a light breeze. A total of 34 horses came for the ride, plus there were watchers and around 20 volunteers were there to help. Gold sack explained that almost everyone has been touched in some way by someone who has been diagnosed with cancer.
