SM Roughriders new formation new outcome

Head coach Josh Harvey made the statement last week that the offense must play better, a rallying cry to his to team after they only have managed to score three touchdowns all season. The team must have taken this challenge and responded with great tenacity against the Garrison-Max team last Friday.
The ideal scenario would be a perfect night with great field conditions after they played in three inches of mud the week before in Heart River. Mother nature decided again to soak the field and make conditions less than perfect. Even mother nature’s cruelty was no match for a determined Roughriders team.
Southern McLean would be held in check in the first half at 12-8 but the coaching staff decided to tweak their formation to start the second half. This adjustment would open up the running game. SM would play much better on both sides of the ball in the second half.
The Roughriders opened with a great drive that was capped off by a Braydee Hanson run to open the scoring. Tate Bertolotto and Braydee Hanson would then both have pick sixes that sparked the confidence for the Roughriders. One going for 44 yards and the other for 45 yards.
