Southern McLean attends Hazen meet

The track season continued its buildup last week as the Southern McLean track team took a mid-week trip to Hazen for a another meet at the Bison’s facility last Tuesday. The highlight of the meet was on the girls’ side with Abi Waloch once again placing first in the 800m run with a time of 2:31.72. In the three meets that the team has attended so far this year, Waloch has taken first in the 800m every time. Adding to that feat, she also was 4th in the 400m with a 1:03.32 time. On the boys’ side of the track, Andrew Kaiser came away with third place in the 800m with a time of 2:08.28 and Drew Kamrath was fifth in the 400m clocking in at 54.51. “We also had some great results in Hazen on the field,” said Southern McLean Coach George Levey highlighting Nick Blevin’s 10 foot polevault good for 7th place and also Cori Moberg’s fourth place in the shotput with her 33’7” throw.
