Southern McLean XC shines at Beulah-Hazen Invite
The Southern McLean Roughriders cross country team put together one of its strongest collective outings of the season Sept. 5, competing against a large and talented field at the Beulah-Hazen Invite held at Black Sands Golf Course.
With varsity and junior varsity athletes in action across both the boys’ and girls’ divisions, the Roughriders showed depth, speed, and promise for the weeks ahead.
The varsity boys’ 5K proved to be a highlight for Southern McLean.
Out of 106 total runners, three Roughriders placed inside the top 20. Junior Daniel Neumiller led the charge with a standout 13th-place finish, clocking 17 minutes, 51 seconds on the challenging course.
Senior Easton Kugler wasn’t far behind, taking 16th in 18:26, while sophomore Beckett Kadrmas followed closely at 20th overall in 18:31.
