Victory times four for Wilton-Wing Miners

By Brenda L. Shelkey

Between the weather and Wilton’s leaking gym roof, the Miners ended up on the road with a jam packed week of play. They played well bringing home three district victories last Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, then against Solen Monday. Head Coach Brad Brekke "The first three games were all district games, so we were happy to find a way to win those." Tuesday night’s game against Garrison got moved to Thursday because of the weather. But the Miners had no trouble keeping the Troopers in line, winning 65-32. The points were spread out with Cole Bender shooting 13, Dillon Loper 12, Tanner Schlafman 11, and Lorin St. Claire 10, in the double digits. Foreign exchange student Johannes Luedemann contributed eight, Zach Johnson six, Austin Dusek and Cody Durkee each two, and Derrek Heins one point.
