Washburn sneaks past Hazen

The Washburn girls would take a clean sweep over the Bison this weekend, earning a narrow home-court win.
Things were a little touch and go Saturday when the Lady Cardinals played host to Hazen, with the two teams tying in both the first and second quarter. Jenna Retterath would make a three for the Cardinals, the only field goal for the team in the first quarter. A single free throw would round off the score for the home team.
The Bison would make a pair of two pointers to tie the game at 4-4.
Both teams would make a few two pointers and a single free throw in the second, tying the game once again, 13-13.
Washburn would start to pull away in the third quarter, tallying a handful of two pointers to build a small lead. The Bison would attempt to keep up, but would be down 21-26 heading into the final quarter.
Jenna Retterath would make two more three pointers for the Cardinals, helping the ladies in red finally secure a 39-30 win.
