Washburn-Wilton girls take second, boys fifth at regional track meet

If there was a song that best described the journey of a track season from beginning to the end, Ringo Starr’s ‘It don’t come easy’ would sum things up nicely. As it turned out, that was the song Washburn Head Track Coach Shayla Sinclair heard just before the bus left for the track meet on Saturday. "I had to laugh because I couldn’t think of a more perfect phrase to describe the season," Sinclair said. "We had our ups and downs with many things happening that did not work in our favor. So what we did definitely didn’t come easy." With most of the hard work of the season behind them, the W-W track and field team pulled into the Bismarck Bowl determined to push themselves to the limit and make an impact in the regional meet. At the end of every track article there is a list of the athletes that placed for points at that week’s track meet. Looking at the results for the regional track meet this week, you can see that it’s longer than usual.
