2020 January-June year-end wrap up

McClusky School Music Director Vernel Schneider inspired “Joy” into Christmas for students, family, friends, faculty and visitors.

JANUARY
McClusky School’s Vo-Ag Instructor Michael Axt has developed one of the finest vocational agriculture classrooms and FFA Clubs in the area. The many subjects he teaches are those he has used all of his life. He brings family values, agriculture, education, and experience together to guide his students to do their best all the time. That is all he asks.
Four applicants for the Tax Equalization director position were scheduled for interviews on January 7. One was a “no show.” Tanya Mueller was chosen from the remaining three applicants. She was to start work in this position immediately. On January 8, at approximately 2 p.m., the McClusky Fire Department, Sheridan County Sheriff’s Department,
and McClusky Ambulance were dispatched to a structure fire at 940 11th St. NE in rural Sheridan County. Three victims were found at a neighboring residence and one victim was believed to be still in the residence. Sheridan Animal Hospital veterinarian Kara Mauch chose veterinary medicine because she grew up with animals and surrounded by agriculture. “I was inspired to go to vet school by being surrounded by ranchers in my life and wanting to get a job to serve them and help them out.
