4-H District Communication Arts Contest Held at McClusky

Young people from Wells, Stutsman, Sheridan, Eddy and Foster counties competed June 2, 2021, in the 4-H District Communication Arts Contest held at McClusky High School. Communication Arts is the 4-H speech and demonstration competition that is held at the county, district and state levels. Participants are encouraged to use their own
creativity and originality in preparing their public presentation. The Communication Arts program is open to any youth involved in extension youth programs. It includes three age divisions. The Cloverbud division present but do not compete. Cloverbuds are youth finishing or completed Kindergarten through second grade. The Junior division (youth 8-12 years old) and the Se-4-H District Communication Arts Contest Held at McClusky Sheridan County 4-H are, back row, left to right: Jude Dieterle, Bianca Burkle, Royce Wardner, Henry Wardner; front: Waylen Dieterle, Josie McLeod, and Sydney Crimmins. nior division (youth ages 13-18) compete to earn the right to represent the district at the State Contest, which is held on July 25 at the North Dakota State Fair. Winners over the age of 13 are also provided a paid Extension Youth Conference Registration fee.
