Viable health care for patients and community
Patrick Butler, current CEO of Northland Community Health Center, has been with the organization since 2012. Since that time, the number of employees has risen from 32 to 80 and the number of delivery sites, which includes medical, dental and mental health, now includes Turtle Lake, McClusky, Rolla, Rolette, Minot, Bowbells, Ray and Bismarck.
Great new face planned for grand old place
Since 1952, the familiar front of Community Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Turtle Lake has welcomed patients, visitors, staff and medical personnel. Through minor repairs, the well-used doors have served the community well and many people have passed through the doors to receive medical care.
Football was the theme for Family ELA Night
Last Thursday, McClusky Public School held its Family ELA Night at the high school gym. It had been postponed from late November due to a blizzard.
Vietz, crew foreman and “hero,” retires after 41 years
Linemen are sometimes considered heroes because, at times, they work in dangerous conditions for long hours to restore electric service after a snow and ice storm.

Plans presented for sewer and water repairs
Mike Foertsch, Moore Engineering, Inc. office manager, introduced two engineering specialists from the firm to the public at an open meeting at McClusky City Hall on January 23.
ADA issues resolved, improvements complete
Dr. Cheri Poitra, Superintendent of the McClusky School District, reported that the school had met with the required handicap adaptations and that all that remained was to place some signage.

The city website has “lapsed” and McClusky Job Development Authority members were concerned to get it functional and to include current events and other city information.
