Anniversary celebrated in good style

Anniversary celebrated in good style
By ALLAN TINKER
From the live interviews with KHND host Rick Jensen, to the music of Gordy Grad from the Country Cousins band, to lots of seating, door prizes and good food, the 35 years of hard work under Doug’s Auto Body was celebrated in style.
Dad Vern was there, proclaiming to be the top boss with a label that said so on his sleeve. Other family, including mom Delores, stepped in to serve food and beverages to old customers and friends.
Auto body workers, Gordy Grad, who also helped provide entertainment, Ryan Schnaibel, Kim Opp and Doug were on hand to personally greet guests. The large shop area was cleared and tablecloths and balloons lent a cheerful atmosphere to the event.
Customers come from around a big area where deer and other animals try to do battle with vehicles on county and state roads. The results are often fatal for the animals and keep auto body shops busy at various times of the year, along with other vehicle mishaps.
As people came in the front door, they could sign up for one of a tableful of door prizes, which included items for keeping your vehicle spiffy or to add enjoyment to sporting and other life events.
