Answers needed to road conditions issues

By ALLAN TINKER

The deterioration of county roads in central North Dakota and the apparent lack of funding, especially in contributions by the state, are some of the issues prompting much discussion in recent years.

Locally, residents have become organized and better voiced with the contributions of newer area residents.

Dan and Jeanie Sobieck presented a possible agenda and a flyer for the upcoming meeting on the Sheridan County Road Improvement Project to the Sheridan County Commissioners on November 3.

The meeting is set for November 19 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Sheridan County Courthouse.

They requested the commissioners to present information on the current road funding and the strategic plan that is on the books at this time.

The Sobiecks invited elected representatives of District 14 to the meeting (Jerry Klein and Representatives Jon Nelson and Robin Weisz) to examine road funding options for Sheridan County and other central North Dakota counties.
