Average Ag land value within state tolerance range

As reported in the Sheridan County Equalization report from Auditor Shirley Murray and Tax Equalization Director Tanya Mueller, the average value, after mapping corrections, will be $497.12 per acre. This is within the 10 percent tolerance from the state’s estimate of $532.89 per acre. A motion to approve was passed by the Commission, 3-0. There is no
increase for 2020. Residential values will increase by 18 percent from the previous year, with commercial nine percent for a total real property increase of one percent overall.
The estimated county mill value will increase by $222.67 over the last year’s value. The 2019 mill value with utilities was $15,346.70 and 2020 estimated mill value is $15,569.37.
