Looking for a job closer to home, and for something different than the work he was doing, landed Travis Pfennig in the Ag Loan Officer position at North Country Bank in McClusky.
His duties started on Monday, February 25.
Pfennig states he will enjoy visiting with customers as he is “people friendly” and “likes to help people” and likes getting to know those he hasn’t already met. He is also familiar with bookkeeping and working with computers.
“I am looking forward to being around McClusky more and see people I haven’t had the chance to see in a long time when I was working out of town.
I also want to raise my family in a small town,” he smiled.
Pfennig had completed his applied science in technology associate’s degree in Wahpeton after graduating from McClusky High School in 2003. He then worked as a diesel mechanic for the Falkirk Mine for five years and wanted to get closer to home with his wife Melissa (Tomac) and soon-to-be-born baby girl.
The couple currently lives in McClusky and the baby is due at Easter.
