Centennial American Legion birthday observance done in style

The Goodrich School gymnasium’s seats were full of friends, family, and many other supporters from neighboring towns and American Legion Posts on March 19 for the observance of the Centennial birthday of the American Legion.
The hour-plus program gave a full view of the effort the Albert Block Post #56 has put into remaining an active American Legion facility in North Dakota and one of thousands across the United States. This Centennial year will see many other posts gather to honor their accomplishments and those of the veterans who fill their rosters, along with post auxiliary members.
Goodrich American Legion Commander Roger Tessmann led the program with special guests also present for the event. ND Department Commander Glenn Wahus and Mrs. Wahus were there, with Commander Wahus offering comments on the American Legion and its special anniversary and the local post’s achievements.
