City of Goodrich snow removal issue contentious

Stress seldom creates smooth sailing on any issue. The city of Goodrich and its citizens have been under high stress from the past storms
that have dumped large amounts of frozen water, otherwise known as snow, onto the city. Those who work locally and those who drive to work at other locations have been impacted by lost time, stuck vehicles, and no means to move large quantities of snow except by human effort. That is known as shoveling. As in all emergencies, the lack of preparation, often not foreseen in its need for the future, plays a role in all residents and those who serve on the city council. The council has heard from residents clearly, and some with anger, on the lack of timely snow removal, especially where work or possible medical issues might surface or get worse.
