Concert celebrates star ratings with repeat performances

With a farewell to his years of music instruction at MHS, Robin Erdmann presented the all-blue ribbon and star performance winners in concert for McClusky audience appreciation on May 5.
The formal performances were: Concert Band with “The Eagle’s Triumph” and “Smokey Mountain Rhapsody.”
Small groups and solos included: saxophone solo, Brittany Thomas, “Badinere;” trumpet duet, Taylor Gahner and Brittany Lasher, “Time Study;” vocal solo, Katie Erdmann, “To The Sky;” baritone saxophone solo, Shayna Crimmins, “Ayre;” Saxophone duet: Jewel Faul and Shayna Crimmins, “Castleton Garland Dance;” trumpet duet: Kody Faul and Lance Pellman, “Petite Waltz;” Mixed Instrumental Ensemble, “Landler;” tuba solo, Kady Rath, “Venetian Carnival;” Mixed Instrumental Ensemble, “The Village Maiden;” saxophone solo, Levi Larson, “Whistlin’ Pete;” clarinet solo, Summer Dieterle, “Clarinet Polka;’ and Clarinet Quartet, “Minuet.”
The Junior High Choir performed “Loch Lomond,” and “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.” The Concert Choir performed “To Make You Feel My Love.”
State music qualifiers gave “stand up and clap” performances of “Twilight Outrider,” a timpani solo performed by Angela Frank; “Nessun Dorma, a vocal solo performed by Brittany Lasher; and “Till The Stars Fall From The Sky” performed by the Women’s Choir.
