Concrete and paving bids approved

By ALLAN TINKER

The McClusky City special meeting dealt with three issues on August 22. The meeting was held at 7:30 a.m. in the council chambers.

The issues were the paving bids for street repair; cement/concrete work to fix curb and gutter, and a bid to install a septic tank in east McClusky.

The septic tank issue was tabled due to lack of information and documentation on easements; location of the Highway 200 right of way, and the final decision on what type of septic tank would be best. It was considered that a double tank, with holding for solid wastes and another tank to gather liquids to drain or be pumped into the sewer line would be best. Discussion was tabled until the next city meeting or when the information and documentation has been secured.

The concrete work is near the former Doug Roberts building now owned by an out-of state person. That work is 10 feet of sidewalk and curb and gutter for $1,900. The second concrete needed is by the drive in on Highway 200.
