Conrad tracks use of grant funds for clinic repairs

Thursday, August 26, was the day of reckoning for the McClusky Clinic portion of Northland Health Care Center. That was the day Senator Kent Conrad came to visit and inspect the remodeling and repairs that taxpayer money had funded through a federal grant.
Conrad asked for the answers or input to four questions for the use of the Recovery Act dollars: whether the dollars were actually used for the purpose intended; if the money used effectively; if the money was used efficiently, and if the use needed by the community.
Walter Lipp, chairman of the board of directors for Northland, stated, “The answer is yes to all the questions.”
