County weed control personal communication success story

By ALLAN TINKER
Arlin Fylling, member of the Sheridan County Weed Board spoke to the Sheridan County Commissioners on October 7 on the success
of personal mailers he had written and mailed to county residents. The new communication resulted in correct information regarding who mows what, and what the county will cut if paid by landowner. No payments will be made to those who cut another property owner’s weeds and expect the county to reimburse, lacking any agreement on the issue beforehand. The drought affected competing growth in the past year or so, with weeds getting little competition and growing well under conditions not compatible for grasses and crops.
