Family of missing woman hopes for answers

Family of missing woman hopes for answers
On November 9, 1968, 38-year-old Donna Michalenko of rural McLean County disappeared. Forty-one years later, her three children still hope that someone will come forward with information that will give them some answers.
Donna, who decorated wedding cakes and whose children described as an artist, volunteered in her community and would do anything to help a neighbor in need. She was last seen in the company of a male friend.
Donna and the friend spent the afternoon of November 9, 1968, visiting friends in the Kief area. That evening, they travelled to a bar in Kief, where they stayed until midnight. They were reported leaving together, and the male friend claimed he dropped Donna off outside the house where her ex-husband and children were living in Butte.
Donna also had a house in Butte. That was the last time anyone saw her. Donna had previously left town for extended periods so her family did not immediately realize she was missing.
