FFA members tally club benefits

By ALLAN TINKER
Upon request from this reporter, Lauri Logsdon distributed a questionnaire to McClusky FFA Chapter members during the FFA advisor’s absence. The benefits reported are many; many are the same for several members; and they all make their club stronger under its strong leadership.
Logsdon gave the following information to those who wonder how the FFA and Ag Ed structure works. “The whole school is in FFA, but not everyone is an active member that competes at agriculture competitions.
“All students that are in 7th and 8th grade are required to take agriculture classes, but it is up to them if they want to compete in FFA competitions and enter their projects at the fair. Some even show livestock at the fair. So, when they say it is their first or second year in FFA, it is true, they just may not do FFA contests.”
