Fishy school board meeting held for October

Fishy school board meeting held for October

By ALLAN TINKER
The smell of hot oil and fish was in the air for the McClusky School Board meeting on Oct. 11. Administration Supt. Robert Tollefson and Principal Dan Klemisch, as well as Board Manager Cindy Miller and all directors except Heidi Strobel were present. School secretary and school business instructor Bill Lytle were also present for the fish fry. Rumors are rampant that Supt. Tollefson REALLY likes to cook and bake. He served a fried fish meal to those who came early.
Director Roberta Hunt moved and it passed, 4-0, to accept the final reading of the concussion management policy. It will now become board policy.
Strobel and Phyllis Dieterle were appointed by the board as delegates to school board convention the end of October. Roberta Hunt is alternate.
Dennis Bertsch proposed an exchange of a used air compressor from the bus barn for the propane he had paid for that is left in the tank, about $650 worth; he also agreed to put a small compressor in the bus barn shop to be used for light jobs such as filling tires. The agreement was put in writing and passed, 4-0.
