Goodrich council renews Otter Tail franchise agreement, addresses landfill issues
The Goodrich City Council renewed the city's franchise agreement with Otter Tail Power, discussed ongoing landfill compliance matters and welcomed new council members during its July 6 meeting at Goodrich City Hall.
According to meeting minutes, Mayor Diane Bellecourt and council members Steve Hochhalter, Blane Enzminger, Steve Barreth and Karen Konschak were present, along with Auditor Pam Stewart. Several residents and guests also attended the meeting.
The council recognized the service of former members Arden Mindt and Larry Zeeb, thanking them for their years of service on the council. Members also welcomed newly elected council members Steve Barreth and Karen Konschak. Officials noted that Mindt had turned over city equipment keys and offered to share his knowledge of the city's water system. Barreth agreed to assume responsibility for water system-related duties.
During the annual organizational portion of the meeting, Blane Enzminger was selected as council president and Steve Barreth was chosen as council vice president, both by unanimous ballot.
