Goodrich landfill to close Oct. 31 for winter
The Goodrich city landfill will close for the winter Oct. 31, but residents will continue to have access to the dumpster across from the post office through November.
The Goodrich City Council reaffirmed the seasonal closing date during its Oct. 5 meeting. After the official closure, the landfill may be opened by individual request if weather conditions allow access.
The council also approved ordering and installing a third chlorinator. A second chlorinator for Well No. 1 had been purchased since the council’s previous meeting. Council member Steve Hochhalter made the motion to purchase and install the additional chlorinator, and council member Karen Konschak seconded it. The motion carried.
