On Veterans Day, November 11, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Goodrich American Legion held its annual pancake and sausage breakfast, one of their fundraisers that support the group’s activities during the year. This year a choice of blueberry or plain buttermilk pancakes were offered, with beverages and seconds on everything. Free will donations were collected.
After the breakfast, Goodrich Adjutant and Veterans Service Officer James Paulus related a trip to the Drake- Anamoose School and the lessons they taught about the post, Legion activities, and membership in the group.
There were 69 students and teachers who observed the lessons. Lela Springer and Elaine Miller were part of those who helped organize the event. Attending and presenting the materials were Paulus, Kenneth (Butch) Konschak, Leroy Miller and Gary Miller.
