Goodrich School sends two into the future

By ALLAN TINKER

On a warm day, with a warm welcoming crowd, two Goodrich School, class of 2014, seniors were sent on their way into the future, diplomas in hand, smiles on their faces.

Goodrich graduation was held, with baccalaureate services preceding, on Saturday, May 24 in the Goodrich School gym.

The processional for both events was LaDonna Erdmann, and "You are the Way" was sung by the audience for the first number.

Pastor George Schuessler was the leader of song and spirit for baccalaureate. He complimented the graduates on making good choices in life and having good attitudes and the support of family and friends.

With the audience closing the scripture lesson, responsive reading and message portion of baccalaureate with the hymn, "Earth and All Stars," the seniors, under the guidance of escorts Sky Butler and Noah Tripp, regrouped and re-gowned for graduation.

The class colors of orange, yellow and white offered a delightful display on stage, where the class motto proclaimed, "The tallest oak in the forest was once just a little nut holding its ground!"
