McClusky audience enjoys wide assortment of Christmas favorites

On Dec. 9, the McClusky High School presented their Christmas concert at 7:30 in the evening. The Concert Band opened the program with five selections: "treasury of Carols, Arranged by Johnnie Vinson; "Christmas Overture," arranged by Feldstein/O’Reilly; "A Continental Christmas," arranged by Lloyd Conley; "Ding Dong Merrily on High," arranged by Feldstein/O’Reilly; and The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire," by Torme/Wells. Soloists who performed in both vocal and instrumental numbers were Angela Frank, "Jingle Bell Rock," Jasmine Massingill, "Little Town," and Rachel Lasher, "Breath of Heaven (Mary’s Song)." The High School Choir added two selections, "By Candlelight" by Ruth Elaine Schram; and "It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year," by Pola/Wyle. The Full choir sang "A Jubilant Christmas," arranged by Joyce Eilers and the Junior High Choir sang "He’ll Be Comin’ Down the Chimney Tonight" and added drums and guitars for the vocal "Holly Jolly Christmas."
