McClusky FFA Activity News

The McClusky FFA Chapter Winter CDE teams have been busy this past month. Judging got underway the weekend of February 7 with the Agronomy, Livestock and Ag Sales teams traveling to Napoleon to compete in the first judging contest of the season for the members of the McClusky chapter.

The Agronomy team made up of members Jewel Faul, Kody Faul, Lance Pellman, Levi Larson, and Jacob Strobel have started this season out strong and represented the chapter well.

In Napoleon, Jewel Faul finished second, Kody Faul finished third for gold awards and Lance, Levi, and Jacob received silver awards and, as a team, finished second behind a strong home team from Napoleon.

The following weekend, the team competed at NDSU in the Little International contest on Friday and the Kindred FFA Alumni Contest on Saturday. In the Little I contest, Jewel placed second, Kody tied for eighth and Lance finished eighteenth out of 143 contestants. All received gold.

In that contest, Levi and Jacob each received silver, the team again finished second behind the team from Napoleon.

The following day at Kindred, Jewel and Kody finished second and third, respectively, and received gold awards with fellow team members each receiving silver awards. The team again finished second behind the Napoleon team.

This past Saturday, February 21, the team traveled to Rugby and competed in the agronomy contest. At this contest, members competed in a senior and junior division.
