The annual FFA awards banquet was held on April 9. There was no awards banquet last year due to the COVID pandemic so the 2020 and 2021 awards were held together
this year. McClusky FFA Chapter officers gave opening ceremonies. Mr. Steve Brannon gave the welcome. Jolynne Strobel gave an invocation. The banquet meal was prepared
by Shari Roth and Brandi Baker. The guest speaker was Jayden MacDonald, who is the State FFA Sentinel. He grew up on a farm south of Bismarck. Jayden told a story about
when he was learning how to drive grain cart and hit the auger on the combine smashing it. Another story he told was when he was little and first learning how to ride bike
he got going and couldn’t keep his balance and tipping over and fell off. Jayden’s point to his stories was that failure is your best teacher and to never give up, no matter how many times you fail. Greg Felchle recited the FFA Creed to the audience.
