McClusky FFA Winter Judging for 2016

By Lucas Rath,

McClusky FFA Reporter

The McClusky FFA chapter was very busy this year with winter judging season, fundraisers and preparing for the Annual FFA Awards Banquet.

The winter CDE’s (Career Development Events) ended with the State Contest on March 21 in Minot. This past season was probably the busiest and most rewarding in the FFA chapter’s history.

It began with practices starting in January after returning from Christmas break. Livestock practice was on Mondays, Agronomy on Wednesdays and Ag Sales on Thursdays. After the second week, the members went to two practices weekly for livestock judging. They later on began two practices as well for agronomy practices, while Ag sales members would practice selling their products during the school day at random times.
