McClusky Public School District receives new bus

On August 23, McClusky Public School brought the new school bus to the park along with Back to School Bash for everyone to see. Dr. Cheri Poitra, McClusky School Superintendent, announced all school students could go inside the bus and they did.
In February 2016, The North Dakota of Health Department was accepting applications for the State Clean Diesel Grant. The Department of Health was awarding approximately $114,000 in grants funded by the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency for the purchase of new, diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.
The purpose of the grant was to reduce diesel emissions in accordance with the Diesel Emissions Reduction Act of the Energy Policy Act of 2010.
Superintendent Dr. Cheri Poitra said, “In reviewing the Diesel Emissions Reduction Act of the Energy Policy Act of 2010, I felt McClusky was a prime candidate to meet this grants expectations.
