Merchants meeting pulls together under printed reports

By ALLAN TINKER

In a new and pleasing professional reporting style, McClusky Merchants President Jeff Martwick gave the members copies of the agenda for the January meeting as well as a summary of the expenditures for 2014. He noted he had a sparse data base to work from so that it may have additions or corrections at a later time.

With no one taking over the job as treasurer with the resignation of Travis Pfennig, Martwick had taken on the job temporarily, until someone will take over the duties. There were no volunteers.

The financial report showed that the major expenditures (not itemized) for the year were the McClusky Midsummer fest at $5,960, with the largest portion for the two bands at $2,250 total. The next largest expenditure was the investment in promotional sweatshirts and t-shirts, which was $3,904. Of that amount, $1,060 has already been recouped from souvenir sales.

Santa Day and the Merchants Appreciation Supper cost $2,962, also not itemized. Next was BHG advertising for the year at $1,476; and $1,000 donation to the FFA for the New Year’s Eve party.
