Music brings Christmas joy to the community

Wednesday and Thursday last week were each split into days of Christmas Joy. Families, divided into groups by the first letter of their last name, with some flexibility, attended either the morning or early afternoon concerts at the McClusky High School. Masked singers and musicians filled the stage and rows of chairs in front of the stage, with the elementary band performing from their two-row perches long the east wall of the gym. Mr. Michael Axt and FFA students constructed the state sets and Jolynne Strobel created the Power Point backgrounds. Everyone could see the entire performances, and if you looked carefully enough, pick out the faces of the children performing their musical selections under daunting
limitations of cloth and plastic. Joy spread out, never the less, with Music Director Vernel Schneider explaining the various music selections as to origin or other pertinent information.
