Organizational meeting adds two new-to-council members

The fourth Tuesday of June is the election year time to reorganize the city council. This year was no exceptions, adding two new-to- council-duty members, Cheryl Helm and Lee Wahl. With Mayor Bryon Belile firmly in his position after the election, the other two newcomers received their committee assignments. Lee Wahl will join Nathan Rhoads on the street committee, with Cheryl Helm with Jon French on the water committee. Nathan Rhoads was elected President of the council, with Jon French vice- President. The new council members and mayor each read their oaths of office. City Attorney Walter Lipp, Municipal Judge Paul Hagen, and City Engineer Moore Engineering, Josh Feil, reappointed to those positions. There is a vacancy for the city assessor position.
