Remodeling and construction change McClusky area

Remodeling and construction change McClusky area
By ALLAN TINKER
New construction and older homes getting some nice face lifts have made the town and surrounding area look more modern and clean. Old homes that undergo a transformation, or just a new window treatment, remind us what a little tender, loving care can do.
With Ms. Becky’s down, up, and open again, Highway 200 is host to a red and white new building, complete with the smell of good food cooking.
On the far east end of town, just outside city limits, Dan Rhoads has put up a new storage shed, with a pleasing shade of gray and trim. Under construction, with a clean lot so far, is the planned storage units on the former Neuharth house site. Sidewalk supervisors wait impatiently.
At the Willis and Pearl Meckle home, a very neat window and shade treatment has made this a head-turner and gives a soft look to the home. Pearl states that they are paper fanfold curtains and they are available at larger retailers.
Stucco homes are tricky; out-of-area McClusky homeowners Tom and Dakota Lasher are adding repair and update touches to the vacation home they maintain in McClusky.
Concrete has been repaired, fresh paint added to the stucco exterior and roofing is in progress and almost complete, a family project of the better part of two weeks..
