At the May 13, meeting of McClusky School District board, Business Manager Cindy Miller announced that only two candidates have filed a statement of interest for the McClusky School Board, incumbents Brian Larson (for the city position) and Stacy Sease (for the rural position).
Ben Wagner moved to dissolve the Sheridan County Girl’s basketball co-op with Goodrich School for grades 7-12 and then Heidi Strobel moved to approve a new Sheridan County Girl’s basketball co-op with Goodrich School for grades 9-12. Phyllis Dieterle moved to approve a new 7-8 grade girl’s basketball co-op with Central McLean Co-op, which includes the Turtle Lake-Mercer School and Underwood School.
Under new business for the evening, Dieterle moved to dissolve the existing Grades 7-12 track program with Sheridan County-Anamoose and the motion carried, 4-0. Strobel moved to join the existing Central McLean Grades 7-12 track co-op, including Turtle Lake-Mercer School and Underwood School and that motion also carried, 4-0. Supt. Gaillord Peltier recommended that the unused older buses be advertised for sale, including Roger’s Bus #5 and a motion by Dieterle to advertise the three older buses for sale carried 4-0.
