JANUARY
With former member Dorothy Estrada returning medical leave, the McClusky Job Development Authority tallied up the constructive progress of the past weeks. Other members present were Roberta Hunt, Jason Parsons, Joey Belile and Andrea Kluck.
Sheridan County Commissioners met on Jan. 14 to discuss a conditional use permit for building a proposed cell tower within the county. The application was filed by John Throckmorton of Municipal Shale, LLC in Atlanta, Ga.
A new deputy has been on duty at the Sheriff’s office in the Sheridan County Courthouse since Nov. 25, 2013. Matt Lisic gives a thank you to McClusky for making him feel really welcome.
FEBRUARY
Ryan and Sandy Felchle, Denhoff, were chosen as the 2013 Soil Conservation District Achievement Award winners. They will be honored at the Sheridan County SCD Awards Banquet on Wednesday, February 12.
Sheridan Association County Livestock Forum was held Thursday, Jan. 30, at the Sheridan County Courthouse community room. About 15 people attended.
Kaytlin Werth and Weston Grade were crowned queen and king of the McClusky High School 2014 Snowball coronation on Monday, Feb. 17, in the afternoon at the high school gym.
McClusky Sportsman’s Club hosted their first derby this year on Saturday, February 22, on Cottonwood Lake, just north of Butte.

Deb Rhoads is the supervisor of the Little Hearts daycare and affirms she is a strong-willed woman with a tender heart for the little ones in her care. "I love children and they like me, " she laughed. "I am firm but flexible."
Two newly published books written by former resident Mervin Rennich provide new reading in memories of the community in clarity, story-telling ability and interesting anecdotes of life and work.
The 2014 Sheridan Association County Crop Day had 20 attendees at their March 12 meeting at McClusky City Hall Community Room.
With son Liam and dog Jackson, Gable Rhoads returned home to McClusky in early summer of 2013. By July, she was employed by the Co-op Elevator as the secretary.
It is time to rumble with the anniversary crowd at Holen’s Super Valu on their fourth anniversary celebration on Friday, March 28.
