SCD poster contest winners announced

The Sheridan County Soil Conservation District (SCD) has chosen the winners of the annual countywide SCD poster contest. Darci Gahner, SCD District Manager/Tech, and Kevin Korus, SCD Chairman, presented the winners at the annual SCD Achievement Awards Banquet which was held February 25.
Five elementary school children from Goodrich and McClusky were honored before the large crowd gathered at the McClusky Elementary gym for a supper, entertainment, and achievement recognition..
The fourth through sixth grade winners were Chloe Ludwig, first place and Isis Smith, second place. The second and third grade winners were Zane Steichen, first; Jolynne Strobel, second; and Lindsey Abrahamson, third. First place winners received a prize of $50, second place $25 and third place $10.
