SCIPY fundraiser enjoy ride of success
By ALLAN TINKER

The St Jude bike riding event was sponsored by SCIPY and coordinated by Erin Lauer. Lauer stated,” The event was open from ages under one year old up to adults. This year we raised over $1,000 and it was held on May 15, at 4 pm. We plan to do it again next spring.” Some participants rode on bikes, in strollers or walked.
Participants included Lauer, Kinsey, Carol, Harpyr and Jaryt Abrahamson, Haley Bobbins, Daphne Lauer, Kaleigh Naser, Easton Frey, Von Irwin, Lily Bobbins, Irie Irwin, Cole and Lindsey Abrahamson, Brooklyn Lauer, Barb, Gabriella and Mat-thew Teumer, Amanda Hoffer, Landon, Jen and Ethan Saueressig, Jess and Paedyn Boehm, Sarah and Sydney Crimmins, and Melissa and Naomi Pfennig
The St. Jude’s Hospital provides free healthcare for children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. No family ever has to pay for their children’s healthcare there. St. Jude’s has provided healthcare to children from all 50 states and all around the world.  The donations of more than $1,000 are close to what is needed to cover the cost of one CT scan.
Information remains the same as last year’s SCiPY event for St. Jude’s:
• St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital opened on February 4, 1962 and was founded by the late entertainer Danny Thomas. Its mission is to find cures for children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases through research and treatment and has treated children from all 50 states and from around the world.
