Slow start to Farmers Market

Slow start to Farmers Market

By ALLAN TINKER

With hardly anyone with any large amounts of produce to sell, the first Farmers Market in McClusky was off to a slow, but tasty, start on Wed, July 17.
It was basically a LuAnne Market. Both LuAnne Knud-son and Luanne Kissee sold their specialties. Knudson sells jewelry and collectible rocks, including huge pieces of flint. She set up in the Gazebo area.
Kissee sells homemade bread, jams and jellies, and an assortment of other items over the season. She, too, had no produce other than lettuce, ready in her garden. She did not bring it. She still sold nearly all of her baked goods, as word spreads fast and fresh baked goods smells do, also.
