Snow, silent snow

By Mildred Kissee
I woke up this morning to the sound of silence. My little world heard the hush. My whole being felt a peacefulness. I quietly raised the blind near my comfy recliner so I could watch the quietness. Peace. Peace. Wonderful peace, so very welcome in this chaotic time. Ah! Snow!! Everything white. The trees heavy laden. I heard the stillness. Memories of my
growing up years in North Dakota flooded my mental screen. I spent some time just meditating and thanking God for another exhibition of his splendor. It was a special time for me
as I read my little devotional and prayed. Not because it was something I “should” do or had arranged time for. It was like my mind had been cleared for contemplation.
