Boys start 0-2

The Trojans boys team has started the 2014-2015 basketball season with two loses. The Trojans were defeated in Linton 69-46 Tuesday night. Friday night the Hazen Bison beat the Trojans 67-56 on the Trojans home court.

The Trojans start district play December 22 on their home court with Max. December 26, 27 and 29, the Trojans play at the Mandan Tournament. Their first game is at 7:30 against Flasher on the 26.

Hunter Jacobs was the leading scorer for the Trojans against the Lions from Linton with 17 points. Blake Anderson was also in double figures with 15 points.

Jonathan Purinton was the leader for the Lions with 21 points.

The Lions raced to a 21-10 first quarter score and then held the Trojans to just five points the second quarter to take a 34-15 lead at the half time break.

The Trojans scored 20 points the third quarter and held the Lions to 15, making up some ground. The fourth quarter saw the Lions gain the momentum again and pull away for the win 69-46.

Jake Hanson was the leading scorer for the Trojans with 20 points in a 67-56 loss to the Hazen Bison Friday night. Blake Anderson and Hunter Jacobs also scored in double figures with 15 and 10 points respetively.

Wyatt Carr was the leading scorer for the Bison with 22 points.

The Bison took a 9-7 lead after a triple from Brian Sitz with 1:15 remaining in the first quarter. The Trojans scored the last six points of the quarter with Tanner Freeman getting a pair of free throws to tie the game at nine. Blake Anderson scored two on a drive and Jake Hanson scored from the left corner to give the Trojans a 13-9 lead at the end of one.
