Boys win two/ girls lose one

The Trojans boys team upped their season record to four wins and two losses with a couple of wins.
The Trojans defeated Velva 65-48 and Central Prairie 70-56.
The girls’ record dropped to one win and two losses after being defeated by Velva 70-50
The boys play at the Mandan Holiday Tournament Dec. 27-29. Their first game is against Shiloh Christian 3pm Dec.27.
The girls are back on the home court on Jan. 3 at home with Garrison in a girls and boys double-header. Then it is the McLean County Tournament at Turtle Lake Jan. 5-7.

Trojans 50-Aggies 70
Haley Zinke was the leading point getter for the Trojans with 13; Chaz Sondrol was also in double figures with 11.
The Aggies had two players in double figures: Jaylen Newman with 16 and Kylie Engebretson with 13.
Taylor Fylling got the Trojans on the board first with a short jumper from the right base line. Chaz Sondrol then drove the lane for a two-pointer; Fylling followed a few seconds later with another short jumper from the right base line to give the Trojans a 6-0 lead at the 6:32 mark.
The Aggies got on the board at the 5:23 mark with a free throw from Kylie Engebretson. Buckets from Tash Heisler and Engebretson made the score 6-5 Trojans at the 4:45 mark.
A put-back from Haley Zinke, a two-pointer from Sondrol and a free throw from Jacy Hausauer put the Trojans in the lead 11-5 at the 3:40 mark.
A steal and lay up by Emma Keller made the score 11-8 and deuce from Jaylen Newman cut the Trojans’ lead to 11-10 at the 1:48 mark.
